Many times I hear people in our youth say the saying: "Why can't we all just get along?"... And I think to myself, why can't we get along? I mean we are brothers and sisters in Christ, aren't we? God himself teaches us: Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. (1John 4:7) Get this: If you don't love all of your brothers and sisters in Christ, God isn't in you! God is love so if you have no love, you have no God!(1John 4:8) Can you imagine how our youth would be if we all loved each other and if we all got along? Sometimes it seems impossible with all the disagreements and arguments, but I wanna tell you that it is possible! That's what we have God for... Many times I catch myself saying things like, "that's impossible for me!" but then I remember that I have someone to help me. And with that someone, nothing is impossible. Ask God for help. I'm sure he loves you enough to give you it. If you feel like ringing someones neck, think of what Jesus would do. Would doing what the devil tells you please Him and help you grow in love? Think about it... Just recently I was talking to a friend when we both realized that we've been praying for each other everyday. We didn't ask each other, we just did it because of the love we have for each other. After this a thought came to my head: That's probably how it is with our whole youth. We don't realize it, but we all pray for each other. This made me feel great and I could relax thinking about the kind of love we have for each other. But is this what God wants us to do? Yes he'll be happy because we love each other, but doesn't he want us to grow in love and love everyone, not only those who love us back? God gave us spiritual gifts to grow in love not to just get by in life. Without love you are nothing, because without Jesus... you are also nothing. While we were in Miami a couple weeks ago, I noticed a a poster with a message on the wall. It read: "It is time for a change." In my head I commented on that statement: "It so is time for a change." Think about it. No offence to anyone but our youth has been really dull and boring. If only God would touch everyones heart so that everyone would bring something to our youth group. Even if it's just reading the Bible, God will be glad that you're at least doing something! After I read that message I smiled, and a light of hope lit up inside of me. 'Hopefully someone else saw that' I thought, and I prayed a short prayer. God will do His work I concluded. I don't know how much more prayer and fasting it is going to take but I believe that soon---real soon, we will experience God's power. I know now that the only way we can truly abtain this is if everyone in our youth wants it. We have to stirve for it and we have to have faith, not giving up. God is our supplier, he will supply us! I don't know what else to say... Go out and love? Yeah, I guess that'll do. God Bless you guys.
